Fall is basically here! Spirit Halloween is already open, trees are slowly changing colors, and pumpkin drinks and treats are at most coffee shops. As a fall lover, pumpkin flavored everything is all I look forward to. Here is the seasonal beverage list you didn’t know you needed this season:
- Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew at Starbucks
I know Starbucks can be overrated sometimes, but let’s be real, Starbucks is very addicting. I have always been a cold brew type of girl who likes it black and with cream. When it comes to the pumpkin cream cold brew, it is so good. A grande pumpkin cold brew with light ice and a pumpkin scone is my order at the moment to get into the season and to satisfy my pumpkin cravings.
- Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew at Dunkin’
Not to bash on Starbucks now, but the pumpkin cream cold brew at Dunkin’ is better in my opinion. There is more cream and flavor which I feel makes the drink more flavorful. Plus, it’s a little thicker and pairs great with a pumpkin donut for breakfast! The cold brew at Dunkin’ is also better than Starbucks’ cold brew because you don’t really need to ask for light ice unless you prefer more ice in your drinks.
- Pumpkin Dutch Frost at Dutch Bros.
Dutch Bros. is one of the best places to get drinks of all sorts. The pumpkin dutch frost is basically like a dutch milkshake and pumpkin pie blended with cinnamon and whip cream on top. A small frost is fulfilling and super affordable as well. Other festive drinks at Dutch Bros. include the cinnamon swirl oat milk latte and caramel pumpkin brulee. If you feel like having a pumpkin pie shake, the pumpkin dutch frost is the way to go.
- BONUS Drink: Franken Matcha Latte at Coffee House of Hel
In my hometown, El Paso, Texas, there is a Halloween themed coffee shop that is super dope from the decor and artwork to the names of the drinks. My favorite drink from Coffee House of Hel is the Franken Matcha Latte with almond milk simply because matcha is very good and it tastes smooth with almond milk. In addition, there are other festive and spooky drinks like The Exorcist which tastes like green apples with caramel and Dracula’s Bite Frappe which is a vanilla bean drink. Highly recommended for spooky season lovers!
- Honorary Drink: Apple Crisp Iced Macchiato at Starbucks
Although the fall is focused on pumpkins, I would like to give honorary recognition to the apple crisp iced macchiato at Starbucks because it is like a light taste of apple pie and coffee mixed. I never really had apple flavored drinks, but this one is not too strong and tastes pretty good paired with a scone or croissant.
