Shopping for beauty products can be exhilarating, especially when you are surrounded by thousands of products at your local Sephora or Target. However, the process can be tiring when trying to find the perfect product. Does this shade match my skin? Will this product cause me to break out? Luckily, Her Campus at Northeastern is here to help. Below are some products that I have been loving lately and can’t live without. As a benefit, Aal the items listed below are cruelty-free and aren’t tested on animals.
1. Purity Made Simple Cleanser by Philosophy ($36)Â Â
This is hands down the best face wash ever! It helps remove makeup and will leave your skin super moisturized and soft. It’s perfect for all skin types and it personally helped clear my acne. I have not used another face wash since trying it out!
2. SUPERMUD® Activated Charcoal Treatment Mask by GLAMGLOW ($59)
Charcoal has many benefits; it helps remove unwanted substances from your body and whitens teeth. Glamglow’s SUPERMUD® Activated Charcoal Treatment Mask will help you get rid of clogged pores and the dirt trapped underneath your skin. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but it does help with breakouts.
3. Water Sleeping Mask by LANEIGE ($25)
LANEIGE’s Water Sleeping Mask is a real-lifesaver for those who live on the East Coast. It can get really cold in the winter time with the wind chill. This formula is so lightweight that you can’t feel it, but you will wake up with your face fully hydrated. Â
4. Cushion Complexion 5-in-1 Skin Perfector with Tumeric by Julep ($30)
Julep is a nail polish company that has expanded into skin care over the past few years. It was one of the first beauty box subscriptions to enter the market, but unfortunately due to some financial issues within the company they have recently stopped. However, you can still purchase their products on their site and on Ulta. This concealer has a wide range of shades, and the applicator makes it very easy to use.
5. Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 – Oil Free by Laura Mercier ($46)
BB Creams or Tinted Moisturizers are the greatest things in the world. Some days you just can’t bother to put on a whole face of makeup, but you still want to look great. Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer offers SPF 20 coverage, making your mornings a lot simpler.
6. Facial Spray With Aloe, Cucumber And Green Tea by Mario Badescu ($7)
Mario Badescu products are very great for combatting acne. Their facial sprays are a miracle worker. This one in particular helps keep your face moisturized and can set your face.
7. Boy Brow by Glossier ($16)
Glossier is the holy grail of the beauty world. The packaging is cute, and their products are out of this world. My personal favorite is their boy brow. It’s easy to use and it makes your brows look amazing!
8. Thayers Witch Hazel Alcohol Free Toner by Thayers Natural Remedies ($6.99)
Thayers Witch Hazel Alcohol Free Toner works wonders! It moisturizes your skin and helps minimizes your pores. This product makes your skin feel extra clean.
