After Monday’s tragedy at the Boston Marathon, we found ourselves with heavy hearts for our beloved city and all of the victims of the explosions.
But, in the midst of all of the confusion, sadness, and hurt, we also found ourselves feeling proud of our fellow Bostonians: those who ran towards the explosions to help the victims when the first logical thing to do was to run away; those who donated blood to help victims – so much so that the need for blood has been completely met; and those who rallied around the victims, marathon runners, and our city by offering a meal, a place to stay, or just a hug.
This is what makes you Bostonians our celebs of the week. It has been inspirational to see everyone rally around our city this past week.
A huge thank you to all of the police officers and city officials who have worked around the clock to ensure Boston’s safety and protection.
Whether you are a Bostonian because you were born and raised here, because you go to school here, or simply because you’ve given your support to the city in a time of need, thank you. You all make this city the amazing place that it is!
We are Boston strong.
