Emmy’s 2013: Best Dressed

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Northeastern chapter.

Despite the Emmy’s being a slight downer this year, there’s really no room to complain. Even an anti-climactic Emmy show is worth the fabulous red carpet action. I’ve compiled a few of the most glamorous looking stars to strut their stuff. We will always have fashion…

Perhaps the top look of the night goes to Padma Lakshmi. The Top Chef host was spot on in her white get up with gold accents and a sheer back- the perfect combination of sexy and sophisticated.

Kaley Cuoco rocked it in a burgundy number. Her fierce matching eye makeup complemented her princess style with a twist.

Sofia Vergara could be the most obvious “best dressed” choice, but I’d be remiss to leave her out of this list. This Latina starlette cannot seem to go wrong with her form fitting dress choices. That body. That hair. Enough said.

HBO’s Allison Williams took the simple approach, but nailed it nonetheless. Her beauty (and piercing blue eyes) is enough to own the red carpet, she doesn’t need an over the top dress. Her royal blue ensemble flattered this Girls star’s petite figure and gets an A+ from this fashion critic.

Michelle Dockery of Downton Abbey was arguably the most high fashion on the red carpet at this year’s show. Her two-toned ensemble wowed the Fashion Police and showed off her classy, chic side. Her simple makeup and hair let the dress do the talkin’.

Although Sarah Hyland was criticized for the maturity of her dress, she owned this look. Her dark makeup and lace accents added the boldness the red carpet needed Sunday night. Just because she’s a youngin’ doesn’t mean she has to be dressed in a tutu. She’s 22 y’all.

Last but not least, Tina Fey. Girl rocked that form fitting number. Funny and gorgeous, this actress is a double threat.
