What are you involved in at NU that has had an impact on you?

My freshman year I joined Alpha Epsilon Phi and I have been pretty obsessed ever since. I have always been a girl who hangs out with a lot of guys, so I never thought I could find over 100 girls that I could hang out with all the time, but here I am! I couldn’t be more excited to be serving as President for such an awesome group of girls. The chapter has helped me become a better leader, a better student, a better professional, and all around a better me. It sounds really cliche, I’m aware, but it’s true.

What is your favorite thing about NU?

Besides co-op, which is incredible, my favorite thing about NU is definitely the people. My friends and my phi’s make even the most normal days hilarious. I feel like I owe so much of my Northeastern experience to them. I have also had some incredible professors who have not only taught me a ton, but have also connected me with professionals in my field. Great networking all around.

Guilty pleasure:

Where to begin? I get my nails done religiously every two weeks. On my way there I’m always thinking about how much money I would save if I didn’t get my nails done for a while. I could put that money towards my other vice – shopping on Newbury, but there’s something about having my nails look good that makes me feel better. I also eat more sushi than anyone ever should, but it’s pretty healthy, so I’m going to go ahead and say I don’t feel that guilty about it. I’m waiting for Symphony Sushi to come out with a frequent buyer card, though.

Favorite spot in Boston:

The top of the hub, simply because the view of the city is incredible. Any cute guys reading this should feel free to take me there.

What are 5 things every NU student should do:

  1. Get a sandwich from Rebecca’s. I always get turkey on focaccia with lettuce, tomato, fresh mozzarella, and pesto mayo. Grilled. I HIGHLY recommend it.

  2. Make a waffle sundae in the IV dining hall. I lived in IV freshman year, and all my friends and I would have Waffle Sundae Monday every week. It makes Mondays so much better.

  3. Do the Underwear Run. Just because.

  4. Go to a Red Sox/Celtics/Bruins/Patriots game. There’s nothing like Boston pride when it comes to sports.

  5. Jump in the reflecting pool at some point before you graduate. My physical therapist who is an NU alum told me that it’s an absolute must if you go to NU. I feel like you can’t really get away with that after college.

Who are your role models?

My biggest role model is definitely my mom. She is absolutely the coolest woman I know. All my guy friends have a crush on her, and if I am exactly like her when I’m her age, I’d be very excited about it. She is so motivated, and she is passionate about everything she does. My other major role model would be my big in my sorority, Nicole Niss, who is kind of like my mom when I’m at school. She’s helped me navigate just about every problem college has thrown at me, and has shown me a really good time. She knows absolutely everyone and has introduced me to more people than I can count, many of which are my best friends.
