Ice cream and beauty products: Is there a better way to top off the weekend? I don’t think so.
Sunday night, Sigma Kappa took over a dreary room in Dodge Hall and hosted a fabulous Pink Party for the L’Oreal skincare brand Vichy. I attended the free event along with some members of Her Campus Northeastern and other NU students. HCNU E-board member Colleen McCarthy is a Brand Ambassador and helped put the party together. Complete with an ice cream sundae bar, pretty pink decorations, and free samples of Vichy products, the event was a great way to unwind before the onslaught of finals.
With over 80 years of expertise, Vichy knows how the stress, anxiety, and fatigue of college take a toll on our skin. At the Pink Party, guests were invited to learn more about Vichy’s Idéalia Life Serum and innovative line of cleansers, products that aim to combat the damage caused by our hectic lives. The first 30 guests scored goody bags with Vichy samples and Essie nail polish, and those who made a purchase received an adorable hot pink tote bag as a free gift.
As a testament to Vichy’s encouragement to live life to its fullest, attendees indulged in ice cream, cupcakes, white chocolate covered Oreos, and a variety of candy. At the tables, which were decorated with vibrant pink centerpieces, girls painted their nails with hot pink Essie nail polish supplied by Vichy. In between socializing with friends and piling an assortment of candies on cookies and cream ice cream, guests were encouraged to take advantage of the photographer. Those looking to refresh their LinkedIn profile picture headed to the photo station to have a professional headshot taken, while others gathered with friends and took photos with the fun props provided. In addition, you could use a promo code to get $5 off Vichy Idealia items and free shipping. This code can still be applied! Reach out to Colleen if you are interested.
The evening ended with a drawing for two awesome raffle prizes: a Fujifilm Instax 8 camera and a collection of L’Oreal and Vichy products. Overall, the Pink Party was a low-key, yet fun way to end the weekend.
