Where are you from?I’m from Marlboro, NJ.
What are you styudying? (major(s)/minor(s))I am currently concentrating in Finance and considering a dual minor in Economics and Political Science.
How long have you been involved with Her Campus?I joined Her Campus last semester!Â
What made you decide to get involved with Her Campus?I learned about Her Campus at the club fair in the beginning of the year. I always wrote for the school newspaper in high school and really wanted to continue writing on the side in college. I had never written for a blog, but it seemed really interesting. I also liked how Her Campus was generally geared towards a female audience and how the members were friendly with each other instead of just distant people in the same club. It seemed like a great way to meet new people!
What is your e-board position? How do you like it so far?I’m Treasurer for Her Campus. I have only just begun this role, but I really enjoy it. I like being able to get to know everyone on the e-board a little bit better and being able to plan fun things for everyone to do. I also would like to plan a fundraiser to occur after Spring Break.
What do you like to do in your spare time?Usually I am in a Group Fitness class, with friends, or reading. At home, I like to test out new recipes that I find online too. I also tend to waste countless hours watching Netflix and going on Tumblr.
What are your favorite things about Northeastern? About Boston in general?I really like how Northeastern gives its students a unique experience in their four or five years here. No matter what you want to do, there is almost always an option for you and advisors willing to spend time to individualize your schedule, co-op, or study abroad to exactly what you want and what is right for you. As for Boston, I love living in the city. It’s definitely not as overwhelming as New York, but offers just as many great things to do. I also love how beautiful Boston is, the sense of history it has, and how it really is a college area with so many activities going on at once.
What is your dream job?I hope to be a financial analyst or planner when I graduate. I want to advise people on how to invest their money and organize their portfolios. I feel like a lot of everyday people do not know how to manage or invest their savings and often don’t do it properly. However, it’s a really important skill to have. I want to prevent people from making the wrong type of investment decisions and instead learn how to make the right ones.Â
