Staying at home during Spring Break is the perfect way to recover from the horrors of Winter Quarter and get yourself ready for the final portion of the school year. Check out these tips for making the best of your period of relaxation.Â
 1. Spend time outsideÂ
Going for a hike or to the beach, or simply just sunbathing on your patio is a great way to replenish Vitamin D and recover from the long Chicago winter.Â
2. Treat yourself
Allow yourself to de-stress by doing something you love. From shopping to a pedicure or massage, indulge in something that might not be part of your normal routine during the school year.
3. Get lots of sleep
There’s no rule that says you must be productive over Spring Break. Letting your body recover from what was most likely not the healthiest sleep pattern will recharge you for the rest of the year to come.
4. Spend time with the people that make you happy
Not every friendship and connection from high school is necessarily one that must be kept into the college years, but do make the time to see the people who truly make you happy. This could be family, friends or both – but take the time to catch up with the important people in your life that you don’t normally get to see.
5.Try a new restaurant or coffee shop
Whether it’s an old place you’ve just never gotten around to eating at or a new spot that opened up while you were away, going out to a meal at a new restaurant or trying a new coffee shop can be a fun little adventure while you are home.
