I like spending quality bro-time with my best friends. I like driving around with the windows down and the sunroof open listening to Springsteen and shouting all the words to “Thunder Road”. And I like pizza, but not the stuff they serve in Chicago – that’s not real pizza.
Dislikes:
When people end sentences with the word “at.” Like “Where’s it at?” I hate that. I guess that’s the journalist in me.
What are you involved in on campus?
Well I’m a CA in Bobb. I’m also trying to get involved with a whole bunch of campus journalism like NNN and The Daily. I’d love to commentate a couple of games on WNUR Sports – that would be awesome. There’s also an aviation club on campus that’s not officially with the university and, I’m not sure why, but I do have a pilot’s license so if I could find a way to integrate that into my campus life that would be cool.
You fly? Is that a future career goal?
I started taking lessons my freshman year of high school and I ended up getting my license the week that I graduated so that was a fun week! I have about 100 hours in the air – I’m not at all a good pilot but I’d like to become one. I thought about it as a career, but I’ve heard it’s really … (Can I say shitty?) Ok, shitty.
What do you want to do after graduation?
I have an outside interest in going to law school. I don’t know if I want to be a lawyer or I want to be a journalist…the thought of being a journalist for the rest of my life kind of scares me. I don’t like deadlines.
What is your idea of a perfect date?
I actually was able to prepare for this question because I looked at previous Campus Cuties and so I now know what my perfect date is flat out. It’s totally impractical for numerous reasons, but my perfect date would be to watch the sunrise on the Lakefill on the West side of Lake Michigan, spend the rest of the day together, and then fly her to Michigan where we could then watch the sunset on the East side of Lake Michigan.
What do you find most attractive in a girl?
A sense of confidence. The way you carry yourself largely affects how attractive you end up seeming to me. Regardless of whether you’re physically attractive or not, if you walk that way you’ll come across as way more attractive than you might actually be.
How would you describe your personality?
I tend to be really loud and really extroverted to the point of obnoxiousness often. But I also tend to be really reflective so I guess it goes both ways.
Why HC loves Josh…
In addition to the fact that he can fly and has been driving a stick since he was old enough to sit in the front seat, Josh’s infectious laugh is perfect for making us see life with a little more humor. He also does a mean “sorority squat.”
