Meet Mr. CASAnova, Nishant Nayar

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Northwestern chapter.

Name:
Nishant Nayar
Hometown: Rochester, Minnesota
Birthday: February 16, 1993
Major: Chemistry

Guilty Pleasures: Moonlight walks on the beach

Pet Peeves: I really get annoyed when people say they like Dane Cook.

Involved in: ISBE Financial services group, Global Engagement Summit, Research at Kellogg, Sigma Chi Fraternity, starting a new consulting firm based on campus.

Favorite thing to do: I love to just sit back and appreciate women’s personalities and deeper emotional thoughts. In fact, I think the sexiest thing about women is their generally voluptuous inner beauty.

What was it like competing in Theta’s Mr. CASAnova? Why do you think you won?
I had a blast competing in Mr. CASAnova. I enjoy placing myself in situations that most people would feel uncomfortable in, and I rarely pass up the opportunity to participate in unique happenings. As far as winning goes, I honestly didn’t know what type of candidate the judges were looking for, and I didn’t really expect to win. I just had fun being myself, and it worked out really well. I think I won because I was able to distinguish my personality from the other candidates’ and make myself appear unique. It was pretty cool to win, but I think the best part of the competition was meeting all of the amazing people who help put the event together and all of the guys who competed. I made a lot new friends in other fraternities, which I think is always neat. Also, meeting the lovely ladies of Kappa Alpha Theta was fun, and I hope to maintain a good relationship with them.

Tell us more about the talent section of the competition
I performed the Jai Ho dance for my talent. I can’t really sing, so I figured I’d draw back to my cultural roots and show my diverse side.

What do you find most attractive in a girl?
I have a soft spot for crazy, outgoing girls. Those kinds of girls always seem to be the most fun to be with.

What’s the biggest turnoff?
The biggest turnoff in a girl is having a stale personality. I find girls who aren’t eccentric extremely boring and dull.

Describe your personality
I would say that I am someone who loves to stand out from the crowd. I always try to make sure that I am not a cookie cutter kid. I think my charismatic personality stems from my lack of caring about what other people think about me. I really couldn’t care less if people judge me because of the strange things I do such as walking around with a SpongeBob Squarepants backpack.

Favorite place on campus?
SPAC. I say this because every once in awhile, Chet Haze is there, and I always relish an opportunity to admire a strong man while he lifts those big, heavy weights.
