We all love to bake, don’t we? Isn’t it every girl’s dream, if college fails, to open a bakeshop in some boutique metropolitan neighborhood? The bad news is most (if not all) of us are trying not to fail out of college, which means we’re busy and broke, not to mention that we don’t have room for fancy baking supplies and we’re trying to be healthy. Gosh, with so many constraints, how does any collegiette bake?
Thanks to Pinterest, some inventive twenty-something bloggers, and some tried-and-true baking sites, I’ve compiled a collection of easy recipes geared for collegiettes. Define easy? Well, I think there’s easy in four categories: (1) quick, (2) cheap, (3) minimalist, and (4) semi-healthy.
1. Quick
Quick recipes take a half hour or less total time, so you can sneak in baking between classes to mail your friend some cookies or surprise a hallmate for her birthday.

2. Cheap
Cheap recipes are those you can make only or mostly using items from the dining hall or grab-and-go.

3. Minimalist
Minimalist recipes require the simplest appliances or utensils possible. Think microwaves instead of ovens and mugs instead of baking pans.

4. Semi-healthy
Semi-healthy recipes use untraditional ingredients to concoct a similarly tasting delicacy. This also could be a great resource for those with allergies or intolerances!
Of course, it would be nice if a recipe could be all four—quick, cheap, minimalist, and semi-healthy. But, at that point, you might as well just grab an apple!
