Year: 2018
Dorm: Cavanaugh
Hometown: Sao Paulo, Brazil

Relationship Status: Taken
Where exactly are you from?
I was born in Brazil, but I’ve moved around a lot. I moved to Peru, then back to Brazil. When I say Brazil, I mean like three different cities in Brazil – and this was all before I was four years old. After that we moved to Venezuela and I lived fifteen years there.
What was your first language?
In school, I was taught English, but before I went to school I learned Portuguese because my parents are Brazilian. I also learned Spanish at the same time because I went to a Spanish daycare.
Under the Dome
Why did you choose Notre Dame?
Community. I really like the unity here.
What’s your favorite thing about your dorm?
Oh, it’s location! It’s very conveniently located. We treat LaFun like an extension of Cav.
What’s it like working for the phone center?
It’s fun. It’s a little intimidating to call alumni sometimes – not intimidating, but nerve-wracking. I don’t want to say it’s intimidating to speak to them, but it is. It’s a fun atmosphere. The manager’s make it really fun to be there. Even if no one picks up, you’re always entertained by what’s happening around you.
Have you had any interesting phone conversations?
I guess it’s always interesting to call people that lived in Cav; especially when I call men who lived in Cav because it used to be a men’s dorm, and they always think it’s funny that I live in Cav now. They always mention that Cav is probably a lot cleaner now. I can bond with them on a different level because I can tell them about all the changes.
What do you like to do outside of work?
TV shows. Just constantly having the TV on.
Are you part of any clubs?
I do SIBC and Model UN. I’m part of ALPFA and Undergraduate Women in Business. I also play intramural sports, like volleyball, when I can.
Romance & Relationships
How long have you and your boyfriend been dating?
A year and a half.
Where is he from?
He’s from Venezuela.
What do you look for in a guy?
I guess I don’t really know one word to summarize it. But I guess just genuinely nice people, who aren’t just nice to me, but to everyone . It’s a combination of politeness and being well-mannered – just someone presentable who knows how to behave themselves.
What is your ideal date?
I guess I like traditional dates. I like going to different restaurants – I like trying new places. I also like visiting places in general; so, like museums, parks, just like overall attractions. I always have fun when we go to those. Taking a trip was by far the best date.
