Once upon a time, in the thriving metropolis of South Bend, Indiana, there lived a girl by the name of Cinderella. You can call her Ella for short.
A smart, kind, and pretty girl, Ella had the complete package. As a double major in Biomedical Engineering and Finance at the University of Notre Dame, she had dreams of becoming Goldman Sach’s next CEO while simultaneously developing the latest and greatest mechanism the medical science world has ever seen.
In addition to her smarts, Ella was as sweet as can be. From being a member of Campus Ministry and a regular attendee at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Ella devoted her life to becoming the best Catholic school girl she could possibly be. She treated everyone in every dorm with absolute kindness. Ella could even be seen on South Quad in the late afternoons conversing with the squirrels.
Not only was she smart and not only was she kind, but Ella was also the epitome of beauty and grace. Most of those who know her would say she’s a “Notre Dame Ten”. Her long, flowing blonde hair was mesmerizing, while her eyes had a peculiar glimmer to them. Ella was truly a vision in blue and gold, making heads turn every football Saturday.
Needless to say, Ella was a standout…well…who never actually stood out.
Ella, a busy bee, was always doing homework in her dorm. Her evil rectress and evil RA’s were constantly out to get poor Ella, making her clean the common rooms and always be home before parietals (otherwise she’d be sent straight to community standards).
After three years of this treatment, Ella knew that enough was enough.
She decided that she deserved to have fun like all the other girls. As a result, Ella gave herself the night off on Thursday so she could attend the hottest nightclub in all of Michiana, Club Fever.
Over the next few days, Ella spent hours shopping for the perfect outfit. After hopping from store to store, she finally found the one – a little black dress with a set of black pumps to match.
Finally it was Thursday night. As Ella made her way out of her dorm room, she was abruptly stopped by her Rectress and RA’s.
“Just where do you think YOUR going?” the Rectress snootily inquired. Ella replied with a smile, “Club Fever, of course”. The RA’s had a particular look of disgust on their faces. “Not in that scandalous outfit you won’t!” With this, they proceeded to rip apart poor Ella’s black dress, leaving her alone, outfitless, and upset.
Ella stormed back to her room, sobbing from the cruelty she faced from her RA’s and Rectress. But little did Ella know, something magical was about to happen.
