As we have officially entered into the month of December, here are some Taylor Swift lyrics that she obviously wrote about finals week.
Before the Exam
When a professor assigns 3 major papers:
“I know that you see what you’re doing to me; tell me why.”
When you read a shady Wikipedia article for “research:”
“I might believe you, if I didn’t know.”
When you consider procrastinating:
“This slope is treacherous.”
When you can’t figure out a problem and need your TA:
“I wish you were right here, right now, it’s all good, I wish you would.”
When you have to stay up late to study:
“It’s 2 am. I’m in my room.”
When you’re late to your exam:
“Take a deep breath as you walk through the doors.”
During the Exam
When you can’t solve a problem that you thought you understood:
“I thought I had you figured out.”
When your prof puts something on the exam you weren’t expecting:
“Did you have to do this? I was thinking that you could be trusted.”
When you have to guess on a multiple choice problem:
“I took a chance, I took a shot.”
After the Exam
When you figure out how to do that impossible question:
“Wish you could go back and tell yourself what you know now.”
When you think of more arguments to add to your essay:
“I didn’t say half the things I wanted to.”
When you fail even though you studied so much:
“So watch me strike a match on all my wasted time.”
When your professor adds a huge curve, but you still didn’t get a good grade:
“Band-aids don’t fix bullet holes.”
WHEN IT’S FINALLY OVER!!!!
Good luck on those exams, Readers!
