Last Minute Stocking Stuffers For Everyone On Your List

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Notre Dame chapter.

Need some ideas on what to put in your stockings? HCND’s got you covered.

1.     Tissues with encouragement

It’s cold season, and it’s a sentimental time of year. So tissues are never a bad idea. Cute tissues? Even better. Consider cheering up your crying friends with these optimist tissues.

“Don’t believe everything you think!” Remind them that their negative self-talk isn’t the truth!

2.     Notes to Self ® socks

These athletic socks, designed by Notre Dame’s very own KiND club, have cute (possibly corny) messages on them, like “I am strong” and “I am beautiful.” They’re $10, and the proceeds go to the South Bend Center for the Homeless.

3.     Emergency Chocolate

Everyone needs one of these to carry around. For one, sugary snacks are perfect for pre-workout. And second, it’s chocolate, and yes some minor emergencies do call for it!

4.     Cat Keychain for Self-Defense

There’s the old advice that you should hold your keys for protection when walking alone, but why not use a cute accessory to do the job? You stick your fingers through the eyeholes of the cat and use the ears as a weapon if you are being attacked. Hard core. It also doubles as a letter or package opener!

5.     Bath & Body Works hand sanitizer

Not just any hand sanitizer, but a particularly effusive scented (i.e. from Bath & Body Works) sanitizer is the way to go. Why? As soon as you open up the tiny cap, everyone within a 5-foot vicinity can smell the beautiful scent. And you’ll then proceed to make several friends by helping them keep their hands clean.

An avid writer since I learned to form complete sentences, I write off the cuff to entertain, to humor, and to inspire. As a freshman on the Notre Dame campus, I'm here to offer a fresh (no pun intended) perspective on college life and provide prevalent information on how to get into the collegiate scene.
