With the start of summer comes the start of new jobs and internships. If your job for the summer requires a commute, here are some strategies to keep you going.
We’ve all been there. Your alarm goes off, it’s time to get up and get ready, and you’re just thinking…
Here’s what you need to make your day the best it can be.
Coffee, coffee, and more coffee
Coffee is truly a beautiful thing. It will help you wake up in the morning, and get you ready to start your day. With a cup of coffee in hand, you can take on all that life throws at you. In the working world, caffeine is truly a blessing.
A Good Book
Whether you’re an avid reader or not, a book is a great way to pass the time on those long train rides. Whether you carry your kindle or your favorite novel with you in your tote bag, a good book will make the ride fly by.
If you’re looking for a book to read, give this one a try. Not only is the title totally fitting, but it will keep you on the edge of your seat!
Headphones
Public transportation is certainly noisy and can emit many disruptive sounds. Relax and unwind with your go-to playlist – it will make the ride much more enjoyable.
Comfortable shoes
Whether your office is a block or a mile from the train station, comfortable shoes are a must. A cute pair of flats is always a smart choice.
With these savvy strategies, you’ll be living the city life as fabulous as ever. (Just like Carrie Bradshaw.)
Always remember, a positive attitude goes a long way! You’ve got this collegiettes!
