This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Notre Dame chapter.
I know what you’re thinking. Oh my god, yes, finally, an article that will help me cure my procrastination forever.
But that’s not what I’m about, fools.
Everyone procrastinates. I do it. You do it. In fact, you’re doing it right now. Why else would you be on HerCampus? Just kidding, we are a legitimate news source that produces hard-hitting journalism and reading this would not be considered procrastinating.
If you ever meet someone who claims they don’t procrastinate, punch them square in the nose, like you would a shark! These are dangerous creatures and they are not to be trifled with.
I’m not here to scold you for procrastinating, instead, I’m here to encourage it! As John Lennon once said “Time you enjoyed wasting, was not wasted.” Even though apparently this is an “unhealthy attitude to have” and I “have a problem” and I’ll “never do anything with my life, you little sh*t!” But who cares what college advisors have to say anyway?
So, to encourage your procrastination, I’ve compiled a list of my favorite ways to procrastinate. Enjoy!
1.YouTube Spiraling
Oh, you’ve never heard of youtube spiraling? Probably a good thing. Basically it’s when you start watching a nice, friendly Kate Perry music video and then all of the sudden it’s three in the morning and you’re watching this nightmare.
2. Twitter Stalking
Twitter is my favorite form of social media, ever. I can spend hours on it, seeing what people have favorited, looking through every tweet Ellen Degeneres has ever written, and finding stuff like this.
3. Tumblr
I love Tumblr. So many weirdos in one place. AKA: my kind of party. Scroll through here for a few hours and find this kind of gold.
4. Stumble Upon
DISCLAIMER: Do not get started on this if you ever want to do anything in your life.
However, if you enjoy looking at men with long hair trying fancy braids, this is the place for you.
5. Netflix
I don’t think any of you need me to explain this. We’ve all been there. Last night, I watched 7 episodes of 30 rock and got scared because my concept of time leaves me when Netflix is involved.
