Thanksgiving is right around the corner, which means it’s time to think about what to pack for break. Different people have different traditions, which is one of the reasons why holidays are so fun. I have enlisted the help of some of my roommates in sharing their prospective Thanksgiving outfits and one of their favorite traditions. Different occasions call for different outfits, so it’s good to see a compilation of many choices.
Margaret opted for a polka dot sweater with a black wool skirt. She completed the look with opaque black tights and suede wedge booties. In past years she has worn sweater dresses, but decided to mix it up this year. “I think everyone should wear a sweater to holiday get-togethers. They’re so festive and cozy!” This look can be seen as causal or dressed up depending on how it accessorized.
Stephanie visits with her family in Minnesota each year and it is a casual event. Her favorite Thanksgiving tradition is when her family goes around the table stating what they’re each thankful for. She is rocking a fun floral lace top with black pants and black booties. The black pants combined with the black booties make her legs look very long.
My family get-togethers are always very casual so I tend to opt for a simple sweater paired with my favorite leggings. I really like the color of this top because it screams with festivity while the leather leggings play with texture.
Another great outfit choice with a lot of color is this yellow sweater paired with a black and white skirt, black tights, and black booties. The color of the sweater screams fall harvest and is perfect for Thanksgiving. This is another outfit that can be tweaked to make it more formal or casual depending on your outfit needs.
My other roommate Abby has more of a preppy taste in clothing. Abby loves layering collared shirts with sweaters and skirts. Her favorite Thanksgiving tradition is spending time with all of her relatives and Black Friday shopping. This outfit has a great color combination and is very fun while still looking classic.
Overall, Thanksgiving is about spending time with the people that you love and care about. It is a fun time o rekindle with family members and express what you’re thankful for. Have fun with your outfit and make it your own. Any of the above ensembles can be modified to fit your own personal styles. Keep up the hard work until it’s turkey time!
