Have you ever been stuck wondering what your friend TRULY wants for Christmas? Sometimes it can be a guessing game. What about the last person on your list in your family that you just can’t seem to choose something for? Here’s a list of 10 Christmas gifts for that special personality.
1. A Coat for the Classy Girl
Every year I pick out a new coat to get for Christmas. There’s something about a nice, classy coat that fits each season’s new trends that just makes me excited to open presents on Christmas morning! This year I’ll be getting a longer style wool camel coat from one of my favorite places to buy coats: Madewell. Here’s another really classy pick from Madewell. It’s the Teatro Swing Coat in heather grey. Although it’s a bit of a splurge, it’s wonderful quality and you’re guaranteed to be able to wear it through fall and winter.
2. A Good Read for the Bookworm
We all have that friend (or family member, or ourselves) who loves to read. I picked up Sophia Amoruso’s novel #GIRLBOSS not that long ago and fell in love. She just released another book called Nasty Galaxy, and it sounds SO GOOD. This one is filled with graphics and short essays to help you channel your inner leader. Need I say more? All women need to read her books!
3. Makeup for the Girl on the Go
Every true fashionista knows that it’s a hard day’s work running around looking gorgeous every day. That’s why it’s so nice to have makeup palettes that make it easy to decide which look to go with. Urban Decay has some of the best products out there, and Sephora usually carries them all. Why not treat your friend (or yourself) to the Naked on the Run palette?
4. Coloring Books for the Creative
Adult coloring books are the new go-to stress reliever. It’s so calm and relaxing to pick up your colored pencils again and get creative. Perfect for the friend who loves to dream!
5. Records for the Musician
If your friend has a record player, this is the perfect nostalgically cool gift. Take them back in time with a record, but if they love modern music, Urban Outfitters is a fun place to get newer albums on vinyl. They have great selections like this one! Let them jam out to their favorite tunes this Christmas.
6. A Camera for the Adventurer
The Instax Mini is a personal favorite of mine. It’s so precious to be able to print out your Polaroid pictures right before your eyes to share with friends and family. These cameras are perfect for capturing life’s greatest moments. You won’t want to miss out on getting one! You can also buy different film for it that has polka dot and star designs! Swoon!
7. Decorations for the Homebody
My favorite thing about coming back to my dorm after a long day of working hard is admiring my decorations. If you have a friend who spends a lot of time in her room, check out these adorable string lights for hanging pictures, cards, and other lightweight trinkets. I hang special things on mine like Polaroid pictures, tickets to concerts, and cards from my family. These lights are sure to brighten up your friend’s Christmas!
8. A Wallet for the Shopaholic
We all know that girl whose favorite cardio sesh is shopping (raises hand shamefully). Let her know you appreciate her inner fashionista with a little wallet. It’s perfect for just putting your most important cards in. This is a great gift for the friend who needs to whip out that card in seconds flat once she sees the perfect outfit!
9. Workout Gear for the Fitness Junkie
What better time to get in shape than right after the holiday? Everyone will be making a New Year’s Resolution, so make this year yours! Own your time in the gym with some new workout gear to make you feel sexy and confident.
10. A Journal for the Writer
Do you have a friend who loves to jot down their thoughts, hopes, dreams, and stories? Make their holiday special and get them a personalized journal. This Monogram Crest Journal from Anthropologie is the perfect gift for a writer. I know I’d want to open up a beautiful journal like that on Christmas day!
I hope you can find the perfect gifts this holiday season for your family and friends. Remember, though, that this season isn’t about giving gifts. It’s the thought that counts. Giving love is perhaps the best thing you can do. Cheers to a Merry Christmas!
