Exam season is here, not that you needed any reminding because you’re probably reading this tired. And I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of looking like I’m struggling all the time from lack of sleep and days spent in Hallward.
Here are five hacks to fake that ten hour sleep you won’t have until exams are over.
1. Get yourself an eye cream
Eye creams have an unfair reputation of being rather pointless and we only really use them when they’re given to us as freebies on flights. But now is the time to recognise their greatness! What else is going to take care of your under-eye puffiness, dark circles, fine lines and fatigue all in one? Eye creams have got you covered.
2. Highlight till it’s brighter than your future
Whether it’s using a concealer one or two shades lighter than skin tone, or getting a bomb-ass shimmer on your cheekbones, highlighting both lifts and brightens your face.
3. Mattifying Products
Whichever cleansers, primers or moisturisers you use, having products with Mattifying ingredients are going to keep your face look firm and youthful darling.
4. Arm yourself with fruit
We are all too accustomed with the revision stage: eating one’s feelings. Seeing as fruit with Vitamin C is really good for clearing toxins in your skin and at this stage, you don’t care what you’re eating as long as you are eating; replace those cookies with cherry tomatoes.
5. Tea is not just for drinking
When you wake up, get a cold face towel and soak it in chamomile tea. Then gently press it onto your face for about 2 minutes. Chamomile tea has anti-inflammatory properties which can instantly de-puff your face.
