They’re easy to make (because I’m lazy), tasty (because I like food) and they can be chucked into a Tupperware container when I’m running late (because I always am).
1. Dried fruit
We all do it. It’s so easy to go to Tesco and buy a whole load of fruit with the best intentions, only for it all to go mouldy when you’ve forgotten about it for a few days. Try swapping textbook-squished bananas for exotic dried fruit (dried mangos, pineapple, coconut are all stocked in Tesco).
2. Sweet Potato Chips
I love carbs, you love carbs, we all really love carbs but the guilt that comes with binging on them? Not so much.
Good news: sweet potatoes are better than chips! They’re sweet and savoury so they’re great for whatever mood you’re in, plus roasting them is a breeze – they don’t even need any oil.
3. Humus and Veggies
This one’s an oldie but a goodie.
4. Avocado Salad
It’s quite Tumblr/Instagram-girl to have avocado on everything and everything, and for good reason. All the good fats. All the tastiness. And very easy to stick in an old takeaway container = snack win.
5. Your nuts or seeds of choice
It may sound simple but a handful of nuts can really keep you going. They’re cheap if you buy them in bulk and they’re chock full of good fats and protein. You can even get seasoned nuts if you’re bored of plain old almonds, or spice them up yourself – cinnamon or paprika are great additions, depending on your tastes.
