Autumn and Winter are by far the best times of the year. It’s always best to buy a coat in advance of the cold winter months as shops release their most stylish pieces around this time of year. Coats can be functional and stylish at the same time and lucky for you, Her Campus have rounded up the best picks and latest trends in outerwear this season.

“Boyfriend” or “masculine” coats are really on trend this season. They are simple, flattering and stylish. Most high street shops are offering a straight, clean lined tailored coat this autumn and they come in a variety of colours too.
