My aim for this week was to find an all-black outfit, which I didn’t think would be much of a challenge. However, I wanted to find someone who was also wearing something Christmassy (considering the big day is so very close!). This week I spotted one first year English student Emma Heasman. Her hair, twisted at both sides and then pinned in with numerous hair clips at the back, was what I spotted first, with the twists emphasizing the different shades of her wavy blonde hair.
Emma is known for her tendency to wear black, but today she looked slightly different, with her new super fluffy, collared, H&M coat (that is actually from the kids section!). Not only this, but she decided to mix things up with an orange coloured, bodycon, mini-skirt which worked well with the tight turtle neck. (The orange skirt with the princess like hairstyle is what, somehow, reminded me of Christmas!) She paired this outfit with some super cute, black, strap-up boots from New Look.
Emma’s accessories, like her hair, also complimented her outfit. She wore small, sparkly, flower earrings and silver studs in both ears. Her painted pink nails also toned down her black outfit, making it more girly. I recommend people follow in Emma’s fashionable footsteps by:
1) adding some colour to black outfits 2) experimenting with hair styles!

Me: What inspired your outfit today?
Emma: I had a drama production and was told to dress as a Spanish w***e (laughing). No, also, I wanted to look nice and not just wear a hoodie and trackies.
Me: What piece of clothing / accessory completes your outfit today, and why?
Emma: I’d say my hair, but I don’t know why, it feels like it makes my outfit more girly, maybe.
Me: What clothing item/ accessory can you not leave the house without?
Emma: Umm, probably my earrings.
Me: Finally, what shop is your number 1 place to buy clothes from?
Emma: New Look, definitely.
