We’ve all seen the massive lake that sits at the bottom of Portland and Trent and takes up about 90% of Highfields Park, but I’m willing to bet that quite a few of us haven’t actually walked round the whole thing yet (it’s a pretty big lake to be fair). However, at the least popular end of the lake (the opposite side to the Lakeside Arts Gallery), there are these quaint stepping stones and a gorgeous waterfall (not pictured here). The stones are especially fun to skip over in the dark but I’ll advise that this is only for the completely sober adventurers out there, lest you end up startling some ducks who were minding their own business.
