We know it is officially fall when all the pumpkin spiced items come out, whether it be at your local coffee shop or in your local grocery store. And as much as I love pumpkin spiced lattes, I’m pretty jaded after seeing the same items come out each season. So here are some fall drink alternatives to the famous PSL.
Nutella Latte
Ingredients:Â
3 Tablespoons NutellaÂ
½ Cup cashew milk
2 Shot hazelnut espresso
Top with whip cream and chocolate shavings if you want.Â
Chai Latte
Ingredients:Â
½ cup coconut milk
1 cup chai tea
2 tablespoons honey
Garnish with nutmeg and cinnamon.Â
Apple Cider
Ingredients:Â
1 cup hot apple cider
Juice of ½ a lemon
6 oz of seltzer at room temperature
shots of any kind, a good rule of thumb is one shot for every class you are failing :)Â
Top with a cinnamon stick (decorative purposes only).Â
Maple Latte
Ingredients:Â
8 oz coffee of your choice
ÂĽ cup milk of choice
4 tablespoons maple syrup
One pinch of ground cloves, allspice, and nutmeg.
Blend and enjoy.Â
Gingerbread Latte
Gingerbread Syrup Ingredients:Â
ÂĽ cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons molasses
1 tablespoons ground ginger
1 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1 tablespoons vanilla extract
½ cup water
Directions:
Heat up sugar and molasses in a pot on the stove. Right when the sugar melts, add water and the rest of the ingredients. Stirr and pull the syrup off the heat.
Latte Ingredients:Â
2 shot espressoÂ
3 tablespoons of gingerbread syrup
¾ macadamia nut milk
All of these recipes can be recreated with your milk of choice, but I find that using nut milk makes the drink creamier! So next time you are thinking about going to Starbucks for that $12 latte, perhaps try one of these recipes and save yourself that money for other things! :) Â
