If we had to describe New York style in one word, it would have to be bold. Locals always look their best and stand out no matter the occasion—whether they’re running to a meeting in Midtown or strutting the streets in the Meatpacking District.
That’s why we enjoy reading Style Sprinter, a fashion blog by Katya Bychkova. Katya embodies NYC style and always looks confident when she’s showing off her fashion must-haves. Now, she’s sharing her experiences and has a chance to win a bold adventure in the European Wax Center® and POPSUGAR contest.
Armed with European Wax Center®’s latest beauty products and services, Katya is sharing her best beauty tips for a chance to meet the POPSUGAR beauty editorial team in Los Angeles. Want to show your NYU pride and help her get there? Read our interview with her below, then vote to send her to LA. Check it out!
Her Campus NYU: There’s no doubt about it: brows are fall’s hottest accessory. What does #browfection mean to you?
Katya Bychkova: I’m a perfectionist and I feel that a perfect makeup gives me a confidence in everything I do. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel that with the bold brow look I can conquer any assignment I’m currently working on! In other words, for me #Browfection equals #JustDoItGirl!
HC NYU: Fall is all about bold fashions, what role does New York City play in your approach to fashion, beauty and your blog content?
KB: It’s always been my dream to live in New York and work in the fashion and beauty industry. Now, when my dream came true and I’m a full-time blogger, New York City plays an important role in my everyday life and influences my blog content. Whether it’s an outfit post that I photograph in Central Park or a colorful interior of the coffee meeting I’m attending, New York City is always a key player in the Style Sprinter universe.
HC NYU: You’re studying media and communications. How does your blog support your professional aspirations?
KB: Style Sprinter blog is the project that taught me everything I know about fashion and beauty. From proper punctuation to photo editing and networking skills, blogging taught me so many new skills and opened up so many new doors that I would not be able to find otherwise. I’m planning on continuing working on my blog while exploring any additional opportunities that I might have in the beauty and fashion world.
HC NYU: What have you learned from participating in the #StrutYourStrut contest?
KB: I learned that the possibilities are unlimited if you work hard and believe in yourself.
Vote for Katya now through November 4, 2016 to send her on the ultimate bold fall adventure courtesy of European Wax Center® and POPSUGAR.
