HC NYU: Describe your personal style.OC: I would say I’m pretty minimalist. My friends always say I’m afraid of color. I usually wear black, white, gray. I’d also say it’s [my style], in a way; I’m not very eccentric. If I was going to get all Lady Gaga, though, it would be very low-key.
HC NYU: So what kind of stores do you shop at then?OC: Zara is huge for me. It’s kind of a big deal in my wardrobe. With Zara, they mimic high fashion designers but with prices that I can, you know, buy them with. I’m also into Top Shop: they’re products are pretty high-qualities.
HC NYU: As a California girl, how do you make the transition from perfect weather to New York-winter weather?OC: It’s all about the coat. If you’re going to make one big investment, invest in a great coat. It’s the one item people see when you’re walking around outside (along with shoes, but they end up getting ruined).
HC NYU: Despite being afraid of color, are there any colors you’re interested in trying out for spring weather?OC: I’m going to try and incorporate red. My mom always says I look good in it, but mostly it can make its way into my wardrobe without really disrupting the black and white I already have.
