Another New York Fashion Week has come and gone yet again. Models strutted their stuff up and down the catwalk in the latest trends from the biggest names in fashion such as,  Oscar De la Renta, Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang. This year, designers showcased some new styles and some older styles that are making a comeback which are going to be making their way to us common folk very soon. According to Pantone, the Color Institute, UltraViolet is the color of the year. The forecast says that the blue-based purple shade is going to be the “it” color and many designers used it as so. Â

Time to break out your favorite festival wear, people. Fringe is back! Wearing this will make you feel like Vanessa Hudgens is your long lost spirit animal.

3. Statement earrings

Small earrings are out and big earrings are in. It’s going to be so easy to dress up in a t-shirt and a pair of jeans with a trendy pair of big hoops.

Another trend that is back for another round is scrunchies. Designers showcased scrunchies and large hair clips which means it’s going to be a flashy year for hair.

Good thing you didn’t get rid of your flannels because plaid graced the runways this year bigger and better than before. Expect to see more than just flannel shirts and probably some flannel pants, skirts and maybe full plaid outfits. Go big or go home, right?
