Last weekend I sat down with my friend to enjoy some good ole fashioned YouTube. In a break between Jenna Marbles and Hayley G. Hoover, I told her we had to watch the Pitch Perfect trailer.

“What’s that?”

What’s that?! Only the combination of Mean Girls, Bring It On, Bridesmaids and singing…

“Here’s your certified BU rape whistle! Don’t blow it unless it’s actually happening!”

“I think we should kiss.”
“Sometimes I think I should do crystal meth. But then I think, better not.”

Not only is the sure to be plenty of sassy quips and unforgettable one-liners (“Horizontal running!”), the casting is truly genius.

Anna Kendrick: Let’s forget her silly Twilight escapades. She shined bright in 50/50 and What to Expect…, she plays the new girl with killer pipes that will bring the all girl-singing group, The Bellas, into this century. I can’t wait to get the soundtrack just to hear her sing the full version of Titanium.

Rebel Wilson: My new favorite thing on this planet is Rebel Wilson. After her outrageous Spanish drinking worm tattoo in Bridesmaids and silliness in What to Expect…, I can’t get enough of this chick. Her character Fat Amy seems to be the perfect combination of girl power and ridiculous.

If I haven’t convinced you, here’s the video proof.

Here’s the best part: there is an advance screening Wednesday at 10 p.m. at the Athena on Court St! You won’t want to miss this. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to see how you can win passes! And follow @OUMOVIEZONE for events and screenings throughout the year!!
