We have finally reached October and that means we have officially entered fall. Â So cozy up and enjoy these 10 things that make us fall for fall.
1.     The Leaves. Here at Oklahoma State even the trees start wearing the America’s Brightest Orange whenever fall rolls around.
2.     The Colder Weather. Colder weather means longer pants, and while that is typically a bad thing it also makes the need for the hassle of shaving less frequent. Also, colder weather makes for great snuggle weather
3.     Pumpkin Spice Lattes. White Girls everywhere cry for these things. But also fall becomes the perfect time for all warm beverages, coffee and hot chocolate alike. Caribou even has a special “Yummkin” menu for this fall flavor favorite.
4.     Half way through the semester. Winter break is this much closer and we have survived the first full month of class. We have reached the hump and can see the light at the end of the extremely stressful semester. And P.S. for Greek people it means Homecoming is this much closer to being over (Whatever will you do with the hours you would have been cramming tissue paper into chicken wire?!)
5.     Pumpkin Carving. We’re girls, we love to craft! And now we get to expand our creative outlets to festive pumpkins!!!
6.     Fall Fashion. Fall becomes time for us to break out our leggings, boots, flannels, cozy sweaters and scarves. Fall makes it easier to be cozy and cute, so don’t forget to go all-out for Flannel Fridays.
7.     Breast Cancer Awareness Month. October is a whole month spent raising awareness for a disease that was diagnosed in 232,670 women last year alone and is the second leading cause for death among women
8.     Football. Weekends become filled with football. People from all over (typically just from all over your area) come together to rally for their team. Bonds stronger than family are made
9.     ABC Family’s 13 Nights of Halloween and Disney Channel’s Monstober. “Halloweentown,” “Halloweentown 2: Kalabar’s Revenge,” “Halloweentown High,” “Return to Halloweentown,” “Hocus Pocus,” “Double, Double, Toil and Trouble,” “The Witches,” “The Addams Family,” “Beetlejuice” and “Casper Meets Wendy.” Need I say more?
10.   Halloween. Oct. 31 is the best holiday of the year! Who doesn’t love dressing up in costume, getting candy by the pillowcase, or another reason to wear orange?Â
