Winning any competition has its ups and its downs but when it comes to drag shows Jace Schell takes the win with the identity of Quora Von Krypkeep. Jace uses his competitive attitude to push him forward in the preforming career of drag. This junior of dietetics took the stage by storm this last week.
Winning Oklahoama State Univeristy’s annual drag show, Dragon Fly, was a huge relief for Jace because it was finally a time for him to truly feel like he was preforming and the added bonus of not having to preform next year.Â
Jace started drag as a new hobby.  He said, “Ever since I stopped swimming, I needed to find a new hobby that holds some form of competition. After my friends introduced me to drag, it hit me that this could be my next big thing.”
Drag for Jace has been an outlet for competition and life learning lessons. Some of the misconceptions of drag are that he is a woman in a man’s body, or that he isn’t masculine, but what it really is for him is an opportunity to perform. And preforming is something he has always had a passion for.
Jace doesn’t know where drag will take him but hopefully through OSU he will work in eating disorder clinics or become a sports dietitian.
As for Drag he said, “Honestly I don’t know where I am going, I live life in the moment, and hope that the future holds something grand at the end for me. My name Quora comes from the movie Tron (which is basically a depiction of the future) and I specifically chose this name to describe how drag holds something in the future for me”
