Oklahoma State University prides itself on excellent education and opportunities it provides, but it also strives to be on the cutting edge of the future. Many local and national researchers will be presenting and sharing their projects with OSU and the Stillwater community next week. Jeff Joiner, communications specialist with the office fro Vice President of research, said the week will showcase many research activities happening at the university. “It’s a celebration of all things research and scholarly activities of students and faculty at the university,” Joiner said. “It’s a great way to remind everyone research is such an important role of OSU.” The OSU Research Symposium will continue throughout the week, along with the art show Visible Evidence, a three minute thesis competition, guest lecturers and a special Science Café. “It’s intended for the community as well as folks on campus,” Joiner said. “Often research on campus is kind of hidden. Occasionally you might read about it in a press release, but this is a good opportunity for anyone to visit campus, learn more about research at OSU and why research is so important to the mission of Oklahoma State.” Students are encouraged to attend all lectures and events in their areas of interest. Resreach week begins Monday and continues through Friday. For more information visit http://researchweek.okstate.edu.
