College is a time where everyone is extremely stressed no matter what year they are in, what major they are, what day it is, or how many tests they have coming up. We are all dealing with living independently, away from home, creating new friendships, relationships, and taking classes that are harder than our previous level of education, which is why mental health is so important. It is crucial to be putting yourself first and taking the time out of your day for self-care. Below is a list of different ways my friend Ashley and I came up with to relieve some stress!Â
– Take a napÂ
– Set long term and short term goals to get your work doneÂ
– Prioritize! Break up your school work based off of due datesÂ
– Watch an episode of your favorite show on NetflixÂ
– Take a walkÂ
– Talk to other students in your class to reassure you that you are not the only one stressedÂ
– Utilize your resources (library, office hours, etc)Â
– Listen to musicÂ
– Get a planner to help organize your assignments and extracurricularsÂ

– MeditateÂ
– Light a candleÂ
– Take a hot showerÂ
– Take a few deep breathsÂ
– Create a daily check listÂ
– Eat a snack or your favorite comfort foodÂ
