5 Green Outfits for Any St. Paddy’s Day Celebration

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at OR State chapter.

We all know St. Patrick’s Day comes with a lot of expectations. This year it falls on Thursday of finals week, meaning some people have exams the next day while others are ready to hit the town and have a blast. Whatever occasion you may have ahead of you for St. Patrick’s Day, we’ve got the outfit for you.

1.The St. Patty’s Day Study Session

If you’re looking to study all night on St. Patrick’s Day for an upcoming final or two, grab some sweats and your favorite comfy green sweater and you’ll be ready to go. Make a shamrock shake or a corned beef and cabbage burger to keep you company and you’ll have a good night ahead of you, no matter the subject.

2. The Girl’s Night Out

Whether you’re checking out a St. Patrick’s day celebration at Impulse, Clodfelter’s, or Sky High, you’re going to want a killer dress to arrive in style with all your friends. Why not grab a dress with some shimmer and shine? But don’t forget to add some layers that you can shed after the chilly walk over. You’re sure to turn some heads and have all your friends complimenting you all night long.

3. The Date Night

If you’re hoping to check out a fancy restaurant with your boo-thang this St. Patrick’s Day, then go for a sexy green lace top and show some skin. Try on some trendy pieces and just have fun with your look!

4. The Family Dinner

Maybe your family lives in town or you finished up your finals early and are headed home for a big family feast. Either way, you want to dress up a bit but still have a playful touch. Go for a more modest top, a cute skirt, and your funkiest shamrock headband and you’re sure to look great.

5. The Workout Session

If you’re one of those people who loves to work out when no one else is in the game, then you may be trying to fit in a St. Patrick’s Day workout. If that’s the case you’re going to want a cute workout tank that will help you stay festive while feeling the burn.

Madeline is a Senior at Oregon State majoring in Merchandising Management and minoring in writing. She was the 2016-'17 president of Chi Theta Phi, a local design sorority on campus. If she's not in class, at a club meeting, chapter, or writing, she's probably spending time with her family, friends, walking her dogs, eating junk food, or watching too many crime, comedy, or fashion shows on Netflix. She likes cheese, dogs, creative projects, obnoxious animal prints, garage sales, farmer's markets, and generally just being silly.
Katherine Borchers is a Junior at Oregon State University and is majoring in Digital Communication Arts. She is involved on campus with Res Life and So Worth Loving at Oregon State. You can find her procrastinating real life responsibilities, drinking coffee, and procrastinating some more. When she procrastinates, she loves to sing loudly (not well, either), read books, and do artsy-fartsy stuff.
