It’s already the end of October and Halloween is approaching, really quickly. Pumpkin carving, scary corn maze, and horror films are just the tip of the iceberg of what makes Halloween. I’m sure you haven’t forgotten the costume part. So, if you’re like me, procrastinating on actually getting my costume together or you’re still not sure what you are planning to dress up as, I’ve got you covered. Here are a few DIY Halloween costumes you can easily put together.
Loofah
Easiest costume ever. First you will need a dress in your desired color. I would recommend a bodycon dress or anything that is formfitting. Fortunately, our local drug store here in Eugene, Hirons, always has tutus by the racks. Just pick up four or as much as you need to cover yourself. The last item to complete that thing is string! If you’re craftier and want to actually make it from scratch, go to this video to find out more.
Candy Crush
Get ready to crush the crowd with this one. This has got to be the simplest costume yet. All you need is a plastic jewelry organizer that can fit your torso. You can get cheap ones anywhere and you can use it after you’re done. Now the fun begins! Get your favorite sweets and fill them up. You can get candy corn, taffy, skittles, and anything that you fancy. Just watch out for candy fiends!
Arthur Dent
This is for all my geekier girls out there. Arthur Dent has a very strict uniform: pajamas, slippers, and robe. But the most crucial accessory he carries is his towel. It is comfortable, has the potential to be warm, and can be modified to whatever suits you better.
Anna Wintour
This one is just as easy because you can use what you have already! First you need a bob. If you have long hair you can easily pin up your hair to create a faux bob. Then you need a fashionable dress or skirt and top. The most important accessories would have to be a statement necklace and those big sunglasses Anna is known for.
Sh*t Girls Say
This one is sort of self-explanatory. All you need is to do is dress up and play the part. Watch the entire video here for inspiration.
