This week we have football player Tanner Carew as our campus celeb! Tanner is the team’s longsnapper and has really become a great asset to the University. Â
Hometown: Chino Hills, CA
Year: Sophomore
How long have you been playing football?
I have been playing football since the fifth grade. I also played in high school as an outside linebacker, tight end, wide receiver, and a long snapper.
Why did you decide to choose Oregon?
Oregon felt like a great fit for me because it wasn’t too far from home, but far enough to get away and be on my own. I also love the whole atmosphere of the football program at this school and I love all the coaches.Â
What is it like being on the Oregon football team?
We practice every Monday through Friday from 7a.m. to 11 a.m. It’s a great experience because the hardships are all worth it when it comes to game day. Being surrounded by so much positive energy by the whole school is extremely rewarding and motivating.Â
What do you like to do on your free time?
I like to chill with friends when I get some free time and go to the other sporting events on campus, like volleyball. Â
