Campus Cutie: Courtney Mumma

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Oregon chapter.

Meet Courtney Mumma, a wonderfully sweet sophomore, here at UO! Oh, and she really loves puppies.

Name: Courtney Mumma

Hometown: West Linn, Oregon

Year: Sophomore

Her Campus: Three words you’d use to describe to describe yourself – go!

Courtney Mumma: Caring, goofy, and kind.

HC: What are you studying at UO?

CM: Family and human services!

HC: Why did you pick that major/minor/program?

CM: I want to be a nurse or an executive director of a retirement facility, and this major would set me up on a good path for either.

HC: What is your favorite spot on campus?

CM: I love the benches outside of the library looking towards Lillis.

HC: Fall term is over! What has been the best day of this term so far? Why?

CM: The best day of the term would have to be the Thursday of Dead Week. It was just like every other Thursday, but for some reason it was better. We talked about things in class that I enjoyed learning about. Oh, and I also had a super good breakfast so maybe that contributed.

HC: What do you do in your free time?

I like to knit and crochet and cook dinners.

HC: Where’s your favorite place to shop/site to online shop?

I love Target! I also enjoy Bed, Bath and Beyond because it has everything you could ever need!

HC: What’s your most embarrassing moment so far in college?

Oh lord, there are so many. I have a habit (well, my nose does) when I have to sneeze, I do a big, loud inhale yell thing. Well, freshman year, in my 500 person chemistry class, I had to sneeze. So I did my huge sneeze wind up and then the sneeze didn’t happen. So I’m sitting there, with my mouth open, facing the ceiling about to sneeze and then… just silence. It was great.

HC: What’s your go-to Netflix binge watch show?

CM: Criminal minds is currently my binge series.

HC: Favorite dessert?

CM: Gluten free cake! Some are good and some are bad, so when I get to eat a really good gluten free cake, it’s basically magical.

A proud UO duck who loves to bake, eat, and photograph cupcakes. She also enjoys hiking, laughing, listening to jazz and cello, and all things that have to do with the winter and snow.
