This little Hawaiian hottie can swim with the turtles and save the world all in one day!  Meet Samantha Neal, UO senior and human rights activist.  Don’t pass up the opportunity to get to know this half-island, half-city girl, because she is sure to steal your heart.

Favorite part about UO: There are so many different types of people here. It creates such a diverse and accepting environment that I think is really special and that  I feel lucky to be a part of.
 
What are you passionate about: Sustainability initiatives, organic eating and human rights issues.
 
 
Do you prefer blondes or brunettes: Brunettes!
 
What is your idea of a perfect date: Just being able to be with someone who’s your best friend-someone you can be yourself around. It’s not really about the date  so much as it is about the person.
 
Do you like when men wear briefs or boxers:  Briefs for sure!
 
Where do you see yourself in ten years: In ten years, I hope to be in a career that I love. Maybe I would be married or have even started a family. I could also see myself moving back to the Southern California area.
 
What advice would you give to an incoming college freshman at UO: To remember how privileged we are to be here! This is the best school in the entire country. Also- go to Tacovore and the Hideaway Bakery. I wish I knew of those places as a freshman!
 
If you had to live off of one food for the rest of your life what would it be? Spicy tuna roll.
 
 
What is your best college memory: This year, my best friends and I went to Coachella Music Festival in Southern California . It was one of the best experiences of my life.
 
What is the craziest thing you want to accomplish on your life-long bucket list: Going to law school.

What is your spirit animal: An orca whale.
