Meet Her Campus Cutie, Sarah Matthews!
Sarah is one of the most stylish and fun girls on campus and we were lucky enough to sit down and ask a few questions about the girl whose personality is as cool as her fashion taste!
Â
Hometown: Evanston, Illinois
Major/minor: Journalism, minor in Digital Arts
Star Sign: Taurus
Year in school: Freshman
Â
HCO: What’s been the best part of freshman year?
Sarah: The best part of my freshman year has been all the people I have been able to meet. I have obtained a much larger network, and I am happy to be a member in the U of O community.
Â
HCO: How would you describe your style? Favorite places to shop?
Sarah: I’d best describe my style as boho-grunge with a hint of prep. I like to embody these different aspects of my personality through style on a daily basis. My favorite places to go broke at are Free People, Nasty Gal, American Apparel, Urban Outfitters, LF, thrift shopping in Chicago, and raiding my mom’s 70’s closet.
HCO: Which sorority are you a part of? What do you love about it?
Sarah: I am in Alpha Phi Sorority! I love the fact that every girl I meet has spunk and individuality. There is not one girl in Alpha Phi who isn’t warm-hearted, friendly and thoughtful. They are a group of truly fabulous girls.
HCO: Who is your celebrity crush?
Sarah: My celebrity crush is Ed Westwick! Despite the fact he puts his British accent into hiding in Gossip Girl, he never fails to be both adorable and sexy simultaneously.
Â
HCO: What is your dream date?
Sarah: My dream date is any beautiful adventure, whether it’s a walk in a jungle, or on a beach. But the epitome of a perfect date would be any date with my boyfriend, Pat Mulica by my side. (Awww!)
HCO: What is your biggest career goal?
Sarah: I would like to work in the advertising industry, hopefully in graphic design. I would love to work for a number of magazines as well. I particularly love Cosmopolitan and National Geographic.
HCO: If you were given a free trip to anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Sarah: Oh, my, God. Everywhere? Haha, I would probably choose to go to Thailand. I have always wanted to go, and my mother is very fond of it and the wonderful Thai people.Â
