As Valentine’s Day is around the corner and we are in a pandemic, this year it is a little bit harder to enjoy this holiday. Here are some fun ways to celebrate this Sunday safely:
1. Zoom or Netflix Party
I am back home so this is what I am looking forward to doing this year with my friends. If you have friends in different states or timezones getting the Netflix Chrome extension and watching the movie in real time together while being on Zoom is a fun and safe way to be able to spend time and connect with some of your friends.
2. Celebrate with Roommates
I am not back in my apartment in Eugene, but if you are living with a few close friends you can celebrate with them. Spend the day with people that make you feel good and love you for who you are. You can all have fun games or make it a movie night with take out or cooking. Just be safe!
3. Spoil yourself
As Ariana Grande says, I want it, I got it. Buy yourself flowers, chocolate, clothes, an accessory, or the things that make you happy. We sometimes need to spoil ourselves every now and then.
5. Self Care Day
If you want to have time to yourself make it a self-care day. We all need a break from school, work, and all the things that we dread on weekdays. Give yourself time to relax. You can do this by watching a movie, taking a bubble bath, putting on a face mask, working out, ordering take out or cooking yourself a meal. Do what makes you feel good. This is a day that you should take advantage of. You deserve to indulge yourself a little.
