Age: 22
Hometown: Portland, OR
Class: 2012
Major: Journalism (with a Multimedia minor)
Relationship Status: Single
HCUO: What are your three most beloved food items? Why?
Kyle: I cannot survive without hot dogs. I’ve been a baseball fanatic since I was one.Â
HCUO: What is your favorite time of the year?
Kyle: Spring because it’s baseball season, and everything is more beautiful, especially in Oregon. The trees are in bloom, and so are the flowers, and the animals are out…I don’t know, everything about spring is just better!
HCUO: How do you generally spend your weekends?
Kyle: Relaxing with friends. I have really busy weeks, so on the weekends, it’s nice to hang out and not do much. We try to be active. There’s a park a couple of blocks from our house, so we like to go there and play basketball a lot.
HCUO: What are your parents like?Â
Kyle: Well, I’m a momma’s boy because my mom was really caring and nurturing when I was growing up. My mom’s a teacher, and my dad is a workers’ compensation attorney. My dad is the kind of guy who you would see carrying us around in baby backpacks on his stomach. I’m definitely a lot more like my mom, but as I grow up, I realize all of the different traits I’ve gotten from both of them. There’s a lot of love in my family.
HCUO: What turns you on? Off?
Kyle: Spontaneity turns me on, but a girl that’s too easy is a huge turn off. It’s also the worst thing when you see a really cute girl who has a great style, but then she pulls out a cigarette.Â
HCUO: Who do you envy?
Kyle: I envy Will Smith because he’s talented in so many ways. He’s one of the funniest actors I’ve seen, and he also has an amazing family, and he’s successful. Someday I hope to be successful too.
HCUO: What would be harder for you: to tell someone that you love her or to tell someone that you don’t love her back?
Kyle: At this point, it would be harder for me to tell someone that I love her because I’m pretty reserved when it comes to that just because of relationships that I’ve had in the past.Â
HCUO: Where do you see yourself in five years?
Kyle: Working somewhere in Texas because it has the best sports market and one of the cheapest real estate markets right now. I feel like I would fit in to the southern lifestyle because I don’t like to worry, and I feel like I’m a pretty outgoing person.
HCUO: Any last words of wisdom?
Kyle: Sometimes, thinking is out of the question – you just have to act.
