HCO: How would you describe your style?
Oh goodness… It’s hard to describe. I get all my clothes from second-hand or resale stores so everything from classics to grundge just kind of gets thrown together. I love super girly, floral and lacey pieces but I also enjoy rocking the occasional over-sized chunky sweater, beanie and combat boots.
HCO: Who or what inspires your style?
I am obsessed with the Olson twins. They have perfected the chic/edgy/classic/bohemian/feminine/rocker style and refuse to limit themselves to any specific category. I have always loved how they do not seem to care what others think of their outfit choices; they are true trend-setters.
HCO: What is your go-to outfit?
An oversized tunic and cozy sweater or jacket with black leggings and ankle boots.
HCO: Do you have any key pieces that you always wear?
I always have a simple necklace on that I never take off, even in the shower. I just retired my cross for one that my best friend brought me back from Amsterdam.
HCO: Where do you find yourself shopping the most?
I am a strong advocate for thrift and resale shopping! You will very rarely ever see me at the mall. The way I see it, you let people spend bucko bucks on items from the retail stores, wait for them to get tired of them and then buy them for a quarter of the price. Win-win. And you can always find the best-quality items at thrift stores that normally would cost a fortune! I am proud to say that my wardrobe consists of some top-designers and brands and I still have extra cash for a girls night out or date night!
HCO: What are your favorite stores?
Flipside Apparel Exchange, Buffalo Exchange, Goodwill, St. Vincent de Paul and Crossroads Trading Co.
