With spring slowly but surely arriving, there are so many eye-catching colors that would make your nails look amazing with all the rompers, maxi skirts, and cutoffs in your closet. Here are a few that will be as hot as the upcoming weather (hopefully):
Lilac
With Pantone naming Radiant Orchid as 2014’s color of the year, lilac is another color that could bring more spring into that color spectrum. It’s a color that stands out in the subtlest of ways and is flattering on every skin tone. Check out colors such as Hudson by Zoya, Do You Lilac It? by OPI (above), and Lacey Lilac by Sally Hansen.
Coral Pink
Â
Even though nothing really adventurous, coral pink is a classic look for every occasion. You can go from that job interview to the beach in no time! There’s shades such as Revlon’s Sublime Strawberry (above, it’s scented!), L’Oreal’s Orange You Jealous, and China Glaze’s Flip Flop Fantasy.
Tangerine
If you want to tap into the more orange-y side of things, a pale orange shade would always do great with spring. These colors will have you puckering up: Zoya’s Cole, Lime Crime’s Peaches <3 Cream, and Hayden by Julep (above).
Baby Blue
Nineties fashion is in right now and what better way to be nostalgic that to have a like, totally awesome manicure? Go back in time without having to make a trip to Claire’s with colors like Sky by Hard Candy, Blu by Zoya (above), and Borrowed and Blue by Essie.
Shimmery Beige
Imagine yourself lying out in the sun in your favorite bikini getting the perfect tan. Your nails can too bask in the sunshine with some gold or silver microglitters in such a simple color. Try Fast Track by China Glaze (above), All Hail the Queen by Butter London, or Careless Whisper by Deborah Lippmann.
Taxi Yellow
Transition into summer with a shade that really brings the WOW! factor. This shade of yellow is definitely not for the faint of heart! Put this color on and maybe your day will be just as exciting as your manicure. Check out Butter London’s Cheeky Chops (above), OPI’s I Just Can’t Cope-acabana, and N.Y.C.’s Taxi Yellow Creme (I bought this color in the 8th grade. It still holds up).
