BUY THIS BOOK: The Dorm Room DietÂ
By: Daphne OzÂ
The 10-Step program for creating a healthy lifestyle plan for college women that actually works.
For many women, the transition to college is detrimental to your health. Who can blame you for grubbing a little more than you did in high school considering you now factor in endless swipes, alcohol, and stress?
The author of this book, Daphne Oz, has struggled with her weight the entirety of her youth and all throughout high school. In a turn for the better, Daphne’s first semester at college didn’t include gaining a single pound, but instead losing 10! This book isn’t another mainstream fad diet book, but instead, tips from someone who has been there and can confidently share her knowledge on how to stop gaining weight in college. Don’t let the title fool you: this book applies to college students of any grade level. Daphne does slip in a lot of dorm room tips (I used my freshman year) and I strongly recommend utilizing them to any future collegiettes. This book was my weapon freshman year and not only did I avoid the Freshman 15, I lost weight, as well.Â
