If you’re looking for a great place to have a relaxing day, Grandview just might be perfect for you! This wasn’t my first time going to Grandview, but it was definitely my most adventurous so far!
The first place that I went to was Elli Nails. I had gone there with my mom, during family weekend and we absolutely loved it! Compared to the prices at other nail shops, Ellie Nails is a bit on the higher end, but I do believe that it’s a great place if you want to pamper yourself. Compared to other nail places that I’ve been to since moving to Columbus, Elli’s was a very personable experience! I was immediately greeted with smiles and was asked if I wanted something to drink. They answered all of my questions and even put up with my always futile yet standard ten minute search for the perfect nail polish. During my pedicure, I had the choice of picking which essential oil I wanted for the water and which scented lotion I wanted to use for my hands and feet. At the end of my visit, I received my own personal nail filer, buffer and pumice stone!
The next place that I went to was The Blowout Bar. Located right next to Elli Nails, The Blowout Bar costs $35 dollars. This was my first time going and it was well worth the money! There are five different standard styles on their menu, from pin straight to big, bouncy curls, but you can ask for almost anything that you want! You can even come in with your hair already washed and they will style it for you! If you would like to know more, you can check them out on their site!

I’ve been wanting to try Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream since I came here to Columbus, but I never got the chance. Imagine my surprise and happiness when I found one in Grandview! It’s about a five minute walk down from Elli Nails and The Blowout Bar, but it passes by quickly. The ice cream place is located in the middle of a clothing store and some eateries/restaurants. When I got there, I decided to go out of my comfort zone and try some new flavors! Jeni’s has a lot of amazing and creative flavors and I would recommend going to their website if you are indecisive. In the end I tried one of their recommended trios of wildberry lavender, pistachio and honey, and darkest chocolate! I’m a very picky eater so I was pleasantly surprised and overjoyed when I liked all of the flavors! Sadly, I ate the ice cream before I could snap a picture, but luckily the site had a great one!
It started to rain after I got my ice cream so I couldn’t make it to my next stop, Earth Elements, but I would definitely recommend going. The shop sells a variety of things from essential oils to different types of skin and body care items. They even have skin sensitive products for people that have eczema or other skin problems!
Overall, I really enjoyed my visit to Grandview and I’ll definitely be going back to visit some new places!
