Zoe’s Style Blog: Crochet Love!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at OSU chapter.

Start practicing your stiches, because crochet is making its way into fashionista’s closets everywhere, and not as a blanket your grandma made you for Christmas.  Although crochet has the tendency to be an old lady favorite, this trend is having a comeback.  Not only is it easy to pull off, but it can also add chic edge to every outfit!  It is time to forget the homemade feel; the new crochet is all about intricacy, quality, and edge.

This season, the options for adding this trend to your wardrobe are ample, including with a variety of accessories.  This trend is going to bring out your inner hippie!  A throwback to the 70’s with a modern take, items such crochet vests and lace blouses are often seen on people around campus.  Because of the lightweight material and breezy fit, these crocheted pieces are great for this warm weather.  The semi-sheer fabric shows off a hint of skin while keeping you covered at the same time, adding a sexy touch to any ensemble—day or night!
