Zoe’s Style Blog: Vest Intentions

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at OSU chapter.

What do you think of when you hear the word “vest?” Do big, puffy, faux fur vests come to mind? What about Jim Tressle’s eminent sweater vest? Regardless of what form you’re reminded of, vests can be the perfect solution to Fall weather woes.  Our heavy winter coats are not necessary quite yet, but an extra layer of warmth is definitely needed for this chilly weather!

Luckily for us, something as simple as a vest will not only add an extra layer to keep you warm, but also provide an interesting twist to any outfit! Vests add the perfect amount of edge and glam to your wardrobe. Ranging from high fashion faux fur vests to a simple sweater vest, the varieties of this piece are endless.

Whether you wear one at night or during the day, this versatile piece will benefit any outfit. Pair your vest with some jeans and boots to keep you warm during a football tailgate, or finish off your perfect fall “going out” ensemble with a fun faux fur vest! If you are searching for an outfit to wear to an interview, or getting dressed for a Friday night, why not try adding an amazing and sleek sleeveless coat? With whatever the occasion, there is a vest to match!
