Ever wonder why the majority of your New Year’s Resolutions don’t last? It’s time to make your goals for 2017 a little more realistic…Being realistic isn’t the same as being easy. Instead, go for something you can maintain past, say… February 1st. If you’re anything like me, you’ve started to create a mental list of things you’d like to improve in the future. If not, here are some ideas to get the ball rolling (or dropping) for a fresh new year.
-
Break a sweat exercising for a half hour at least three times a week.
-
Get eight hours of sleep each night.
-
Give your parents a call once a week.
-
Read one book per month.
-
Limit yourself to the following once a day of: coffee/soda/dessert/snack.
-
“Strive for Five” servings of fruit or vegetables each day.
-
Track your absences so you don’t violate your course attendance policies.
-
Write every assignment, quiz, and test down in a planner to prevent procrastination.
-
Give a compliment to yourself and someone else each day.
- Meditate for ten minutes each day – however you choose.
