As the summer heat begins to fade and the breezy, colorful fall comes upon us, what activity comes to mind? Apple picking! Yes, Oswego has an entire location for all of your fall adventure needs. Next time you’re free and want to venture off a couple miles from campus or explore a new part of Oswego, get in the car and head to Oswego’s Ontario Orchards.
For 47 years, Ontario Orchards has been around and is located at the convenient location of 7735 St. Rte. 104 – just pass the college. The orchard specializes in providing local products like: plants, vegetables, brewing hard cider, beer, wine and of course providing a fun and exciting enviorment for apple picking. The farm also contains large greenhouses, a corn maze and plenty of halloween pumpkins for everyone to pick.
Looking for a fun place to go on a date and get some delicious sweets too? Ontario Orchards has a bakery located on the grounds too! The bakery sells pies, yummy donuts and delicious homemade breads. A beautiful fall day, fun hay rides, apple picking, plus desert: Sounds like the perfect date to me! Be sure to make your way out to Ontario Orchards before the cold weather really hits! Bring the family along too!
