After saying goodbye to some amazing seniors in the Fall of 2021, we want to take some time to introduce the Spring 2022 E-board members! We are all so excited to be back on-campus writing articles and making memories.
Allyson (she/her): I am a returning Campus Correspondent this semester, and I am so excited for Jaylea to be joining me! I am a senior double major in English and Broadcasting & Mass Communications. Besides writing and reading, I love to hike, do yoga, and play ice hockey for the Women’s Club team. I love being on the ice and in the Writing Center on campus, where I’m the Lead Writing Tutor!Â
Jaylea (she/her): This spring semester, I will be working alongside Allyson as a Campus Correspondent! I am a senior communication major who transferred to SUNY Oswego in the Spring of 2021. When I’m not writing articles or hanging out with my friends, you can find me reading in the library, quoting TikToks, or working at my on-campus internship site in the EXCEL office! Since this is my last semester, I can’t wait to be involved in so many things and I am excited for all of the new memories that I am going to make.Â
Erin (she/her): This semester, I will be sharing my position of New Member Liaison with Katie! I am a junior studying cinema and screen studies as my major, and creative writing as my minor. When I am not watching movies, or writing creatively, you can find me at sports events taking photos for the campus news station, WTOP, or posting actively on social media for the Oswego Film Club. You can also find me at the cafes on campus either working, or enjoying a nice chai latte! If it’s a nice day outside, you may even see me by the lake doing yoga!Â
April White (she/her): This will be my first semester joining the E-Board as the newest Events Director! I am a junior broadcasting and mass communications major as well as taking a minor in creative writing! On most days you can find me at the library doing homework so feel free to take a seat and join me if you ever find me there! When (or on the off chance) I’m not studying I’ll usually be hanging out with my friends, watching movies, or painting and bingeing tv shows with my roommates. I love writing, animals, coffee and ice cream.Â
Katie (she/her):Â This semester, I am sharing my position as New Member Liaison with Erin. I joined Her Campus last fall as a first-semester freshman, so I am looking forward to being an e-board member this semester and continuing to write. Currently, I am undeclared for my major, but I am planning on majoring or minoring in communications, psychology, or human development. On-campus, you can find me hanging out with friends, enjoying an iced coffee at a cafe, doing outreach as a peer health educator, finding alternative music for WNYO, and studying at a different area on campus. I also enjoy having a meal with friends, watching tv and movies, playing the ukulele, taking photos, and doing graphic design. Feel free to reach out!
Carly (she/her): This will be my second semester as Treasurer and I am more excited than ever! I finally have some experience under my belt so I will be able to use this knowledge to make the Spring Semester even more memorable than the last. Unfortunately, this will be my last semester since I am graduating as a double major in English and Business Administration. Besides being a member of this club, I take part in Oswego Women’s Club Hockey Team, Oswego’s Ski and Snowboarding Club, and Women in Business. I am a huge movie buff and pride myself on knowing endless quotes.Â
Jasmine (she/her): As a second semester junior I am excited to join the e-board as the Social Media Manager. My experience in Her Campus has allowed me to break out of my shell to take on a larger role. This organization is a great space to share articles regarding your interests while building positive relationships. I am currently pursuing a Mass Communication and Broadcasting degree with a minor in Arts Management. In my free time I like to watch tv and IÂ sometimes create art.
Maria (she/her): This semester I’m joining the E-board for the position of graphic designer. I’m a second semester junior with a Marketing major and an International Business minor. I’m excited to join and be part of this organization because it allows me to design beautiful and creative flyers and content. I joined Her Campus at the end of fall 2021 and am still eager to get to know the crew better. I’m a very busy person but in my free time I like to pamper myself, travel, go on adventures and try new types of foods.Â
Carolyn (she/her): For my last semester at Oswego, I will be returning to Her Campus’ e-board as the Marketing and Public Relations Director. I had so much fun this past fall connecting and collaborating with different organizations, as well as making marvelous memories with other members in the club. I can’t wait to see what opportunities lay ahead as I finish pursuing my undergraduate degree in public relations and English. Her Campus has given so much since I joined in August of 2020 and I couldn’t be more thankful for the people I met, the memories I’ve made, and the lessons I’ve learned. Aside from being a member of Her Campus, I enjoy my time being a Peer Educator for the counseling center and catching up with friends.Â
Tess (they/them): As a second semester sophomore, I am joining the E-board as Senior Editor! I’m really excited to take up this position and work more closely with everyone in Her Campus here at Oswego. I am currently a double major in Journalism and Theatre, with a minor in Creative Writing. I love keeping busy academically, but when I’m not doing homework or editing pieces, I love reading and relaxing with my kitten, Kiwi. I’m really excited to see how I and the other members of this club continue to grow and support each other!Â
